La Adelita Restaurant in Queens has been cemented yet once again. Yes, this Mexican restaurant has participated for the third consecutive time in the 13th annual Queens Taste gastronomical encounter. Having taken place in the New York Hall of Science, the event brought in about 700 hundred residents and visitors of the Queens borough.
The culinary event staged the show for more than 60 Queens based vendors to showcase the international quality of their cuisine. Regarding diversity, there was flavor and quality for every taste. Be it, sweet, sour, spicy, or just plain tasty: you could’ve probably had it there. There were restaurants representing the Queen’s approach to Portuguese, Italian, Greek, Argentinian, French and Colombian food. Of course there was also Mexican gastronomy, which was showcased by La Adelita Restaurant.
Regarding the experience, the chef of La Adelita Restaurant Zaul Martinez made it aware that it’s a great opportunity for vendors to get some good hype about their small businesses and for the quality of the food to be recognized. This is a theme this year at Queens, after being named Lonely Planet’s best tourism Destination in the United States. The quality of the bars, breweries and restaurants having being particularly designated as a key feature when visiting this location.
All the proceeds garnered in the event will support the QEDC’S (Queens Economic Development Corp.) effort to improve business services, jobs, neighborhood development and financial literacy of small business owners in the queens borough. Also, get some recognition for small businesses like restaurants and improve tourism through the It’s in Queens and Discover Queens brands.
